The Sonnerie de St. Geneviève du Mont de Paris was taken from the collected work La gamme et autres morceaux de simphonie pour le viole et le clavecin . The original score of 14 pages has been included in this edition without alterations. The editor has added ornamentation and slurs in the violin part, as well as dynamic markings in the viola da gamba part and the realization of the figured bass. Flute and violin II can be used instead of the violin and viola da gamba. Marin Marais also mentions a violoncello, which can take the place of the viola da gamba. A separate part for violoncello is therefore included with this edition. Instrumentation: violin (flute), viola da gamba (cello) and harpsichord
