"Dance of the Adolescent" is an excerpt from "Grogh", a ballet composed between 1922 and 1924, during the composer's student years in Paris. The story of the ballet tells of a magician, Grogh by name, who possessed the power to revive the dead and make them dance. In 1930, three dances were extraced from the ballet for symphonic performance under the title "Dance Symphony". This won an RCA Victor prize of 5,000 dollars in the same year. "Dance of the Adolescent" is the opening movement of the "Dance Symphony". This arrangement for two pianos, made by the composer, is published here for the first time. Instrumentation: 2 pianos (4 hands)
